The Catholic War on Little Girls

God hates Girl Scouts.

I wrote previously about a woman who decided that Girl Scouts were evil, and about the inclusive nature of the Girl Scout organization.

Well, there’s more news along the same front.

An Indiana lawmaker had this to say recently:

Morris said he made his conclusions after talking to constituents and conducting “a small amount of Web-based research.” He said the discussion and research led to his conclusions that the Girl Scouts encourage sexual activity, are a front for Planned Parenthood and that Scouts are encouraged to look up to role models who endorse feminist, lesbian and communist agendas.

A Virginia church has banned Girl Scouts.

Several Girl Scout troops in Chantilly, Va., have been banned from meeting at a local Catholic church and a neighboring school.

St. Timothy Catholic Church said that scouts won’t be allowed to meet or wear their uniforms on church property. The edict also applies to the adjacent St. Timothy School, which enrolls students from preschool to eighth grade.

According to the Arlington Diocese, the pastor did not believe the National Girl Scouts membership to the World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts aligned with the message of the church, stemming from a perceived connection between WAGGGS and Planned Parenthood.

The Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital said its parent/national organization is not WAGGGS, but instead Girl Scouts of the USA, which does not have a relationship with Planned Parenthood.

One Response to “The Catholic War on Little Girls”

  1. I thought the fight against girl scouts was ridiculous. Then it came to my backyard and I found myself disgusted. Chantilly is on my way to work and about 15 minutes from where I live. So disappointed that Virginia continues to perpetuate ridiculously archaic beliefs and strategies in religion AND politics.
