Sick, Day 2

I haven’t had a chance to see the news.

So I have no idea what’s going on in the world out there and I haven’t seen any of my usual blogs.

This medicine has made Sage hyper as all get out.

And trying to keep a kid entertained when she can’t leave the sickroom is not an easy task.

She played her DS a while, but I made her put it down and she did some Grammar pages from a workbook I bought for her.

Later on, she’s going to do some math.

We already did some reading as well.

Right now, we’re doing experiments with water and ice, writing down observations and hypothesis, testing them, etc.

But I’m running out of things to do and it’s not even noon yet.

There’s always the video game but I so hate to let her sit on that for hours.

  1. Meh, you haven`t missed a whole lot: Steve Jobs died, half the internet is mourning him while the other half is dissing on him and Apple, Westboro Baptist Church posted a tweet about picketing his funeral for “preaching sin” and other such nonsense, and they tweeted it off an…iPhone, nonetheless! some angry Americans are protesting on Wall Street, Greece is under a 24 hour general strike…and that, Alice, is today in a nutshell :)

P.S. Congratulations on the way you raise your daughter!

  2. Oh well, not much then, though I did think Jobs did some admirable things.

  3. And the Vatican’s jumped all over the completely non-existent BBC ‘edict’ about AD/CE, claiming it as more persecution.

    Ooh, water/ice→Goldilocks zone→astronomy!
